Web23 mei 2024 · D ü rer was born in Nuremberg on 21 May 1471, the third of eighteen children of the Hungarian-born goldsmith Albrecht D ü rer the Elder (1427 – 1502) and his wife, Barbara (n é e Holper, 1442 – 1514), and was apprenticed to the leading Nuremberg painter – woodcut designer, Michael Wolgemut (1434 – 1519).
